The Democratic Republic of Sao Tome e Principe

• The Firm is currently involved in the Lagoa Azul property development on the Sao Tome Island of the State of Sao Tome e Principe. The Development will comprise an upmarket golf course, 1300 stands, a marina, hotel, golf club together with educational and other social facilities.The project has involved the negotiation of laws and bylaws with the Sao Tome government pursuant to which the State has granted rights of tenure of 30 years. The challenge has been to assist with the proprietary rights granted to client, and the creation of a workable property owners environment to add value to the property owner’s investment. We are continuing to assist the developer with the procurement of the necessary external financing, administering of sales, establishing contracts for relationships with outside grounds.

Mozambique

• The firm is currently involved in a number of property development projects in Mozambique, including:
  • The Xefina Island Development of Mozambique;
  • The Emerald Coast Development near Maputo;
  • The Mar e Sol Development in Ponto Do Ouro; and
  • a new property development near Pemba.
  The firm is able to offer the services required by developers in these areas, which services are offered in collaboration with local legal partners.
