PFI Awards recognise five Norton Rose clients’ energy and infrastructure projects

International legal practice Norton Rose Group has advised on five of Project Finance International’s (PFI) deals of the year for 2011, working with clients in Africa, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
The award winning projects were announced at an awards ceremony at London’s Hilton Hotel on 25 January with Norton Rose Group represented by partners Peter Hall and Charles Whitney and global energy and projects business manager Rachel Dawes.
The winning projects are:
- Addax Bio, the first bio-energy project to be brought to financial close in Africa and the largest post-conflict agricultural project to be developed in Sierra Leone - Middle East & Africa Renewables Deal of the Year
- Adelaide Hospital, a new state-of-the-art hospital being delivered as a public-private partnership: Asia Pacific PPP Deal of the Year
- Macarthur Wind, the 420MW renewable energy project - Asia Pacific Renewables Deal of the Year
- Muharraq, the US$300 million sewage treatment project in Bahrain - Middle East Infrastructure Project of the Year
- Sur, the US$1.55 billion independent power project (IPP) in the Sultanate of Oman - Middle East Power Deal of the Year
