Clean Energy Future

The Australian Federal Government's Clean Energy Legislative Package was passed through the House of Representatives, 12 October 2011. The legislation will now be introduced to the Senate with the aim to be passed by the end of the year.

The Clean Energy Legislative Package includes four main bills:

  • the Clean Energy Bill 2011
  • the Clean Energy Regulator Bill 2011
  • the Climate Change Authority Bill 2011
  • the Clean Energy (Consequential Amendments) Bill 2011.

This policy is perhaps the largest economic and environmental reform in a generation.
