Africa Legal is the Africa specialised division of Deneys Reitz Inc, one of South Africa´s largest and most reputable law firms, with 94 directors, 64 associates, 71 candidate attorneys, 1 economists and 300 support staff. As a seamless part of Deneys Reitz´s services, we offer expertise under English and South African law throughout the African continent and we have advised on transactions involving major international and South African financial, corporate and private equity institutions involving some 20 African jurisdictions.

Africa Legal provides a complete commercial legal advisory service to international standards, which aims to ensure that our clients receive legal advice and protections appropriate to the countries in which they operate. We believe in providing legal advice which is practical and focused on the client´s specific needs. Most of our work in Africa relates to Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity transactions (including fund work), Banking transactions (including General Banking, Project Finance and Commodity Trade Finance) as well as other corporate and commercial advice.
